Faith-based initiative

Bringing Our Worship

Bringing Our Worship, or BOW, is Favored Generation’s dedicated Christian worship initiative. It creates spaces for collective worship, prayer, music, Christian teaching and fellowship.

BOW is separate from our general community-support programs. Participation is voluntary, and event communications describe the Christian purpose and format up front.

A Bringing Our Worship gathering

Purpose

What BOW is for

BOW brings people together to honour God through worship, and to encourage spiritual reflection, unity, prayer and service. Events may include live music, worship leaders, prayer, speakers, creative expression, and opportunities to support approved community initiatives.

This is the one part of our work where direct Christian language is the point rather than an addition. Everything here is described plainly as what it is, so that anyone deciding whether to attend has the information to choose.

Counting rule

How we report BOW results

Event attendance, volunteer numbers, and anything raised for an approved purpose are reported separately from charitable-service outputs.

We do not count a BOW attendee as a person who received a charitable service, unless a distinct charitable activity was actually delivered and recorded at that event. Worship attendance and service delivery are two different things, and combining them would overstate our reach.

BOW volunteer roles

Worship, music, production, media, hospitality, registration, accessibility support, logistics, prayer and event coordination.

Roles involving Christian leadership or religious instruction carry faith-specific requirements. Those requirements are never applied to unrelated general volunteer roles.
