Favored Generation is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by operational leaders and volunteers with experience across community development, education, social work, healthcare, technology, finance, project management, communications, and creative services.

How responsibility is divided

The Board of Directors

The Board is responsible for strategic oversight, financial stewardship, policy approval, risk management, legal and regulatory compliance, and executive accountability.

Operational leadership

Operational leadership implements approved plans, manages programs, supports volunteers, maintains records, coordinates partners, and reports to the Board.

Dr. Peter Haastrup

Board Chair / Director

Dr. Peter Haastrup is an educator, social worker, and clinician with experience in higher education, youth justice, nonprofit leadership, community development, mental health, and addictions. He holds a Master of Social Work and a PhD in Policy Studies.

Seyi Aleshinloye

Director

Seyi Aleshinloye is an information technology professional, Certified Salesforce Administrator, and cloud consultant with experience in digital transformation and customer-relationship systems. His background brings technology, systems thinking, and digital-development experience to the Board.

Adetomi Aleshinloye

Director

Adetomi Aleshinloye is a licensed vocational nurse with more than 12 years of healthcare experience in California and Texas, including direct pediatric patient care. She also brings experience in public speaking, publishing, music, and community engagement.

Tolu Adegbusi

Director

Tolu Adegbusi is a product leader with more than a decade of experience building and scaling digital products. Her background contributes user-centred design, strategy, innovation, and community leadership to the Board.

Tobechukwu Madu

Director

Tobechukwu Madu is a data scientist and strategist with experience in healthcare and finance. His work with data, emerging technology, and inclusive systems supports evidence-informed decision-making and long-term organizational planning.

Board committees

Written terms of reference and committee membership are being formalised. Until they are approved, the Board’s responsibilities for finance and audit, governance and nominations, programs and safeguarding, and fundraising and partnerships are carried by the full Board rather than by standing committees.

Committees will be listed here only once their membership and terms of reference have been approved in writing.

Operational leadership

Operational leadership is accountable to the Board for delivering approved programs. Each role below carries a defined area of responsibility and a reporting relationship.

Emmanuel Anugwa

Energy professional with nearly a decade optimising renewable energy portfolios across solar, wind and battery storage. A licensed professional engineer in Ontario with an MBA in Energy Management from TU Berlin. Experience spans North American energy markets, SCADA analysis, regulatory compliance and financial performance reporting.

Deborah Adolphus LongJohn

Role to be confirmed

Certified Salesforce Associate and technical support professional with a background in systems optimisation and programme management, supporting Microsoft cloud users internationally. Holds professional training in emotional intelligence, behavioural therapy, teen psychology and conflict management. Based in Lagos.

Ayomide “A.Y.” Osho

Role to be confirmed

Social worker and youth services professional with the Durham Catholic District School Board, supporting students’ social, emotional and academic development. Holds an MSW from York University. Previous experience across Horizons for Youth, The Scott Mission, Pathways to Education, Scarborough and Rouge Hospital’s Justice and Mental Health programme, and Kinark Child and Family Services, covering assessment, counselling, crisis intervention and care planning.

Temitope Rachael Osho

Senior trust and estate professional with Concentra Trust, specialising in estate planning, wills and legacy administration. Speaks on women’s empowerment, financial literacy and legacy building.

Stephen Ogunkunle

Role to be confirmed

Product manager with a background in retail and commercial banking, commercial real estate finance and technology product innovation. A certified Scrum Product Owner with expertise in backlog management, agile delivery and data-informed decision-making. Based in Toronto.

Tilewa Badmus

Accountant supporting individuals and businesses with financial management, reporting and practical financial planning.

Precious Familusi

Role to be confirmed

Community development and commercial banking professional. Co-founder of Black Lives Matter NL and an anti-racism workshop facilitator. Has supported Black business owners through the Black Business Initiative and coordinated the Enterprise Olympics Programme with YMCA Employment, Enterprise and Newcomer Services. Commercial banking experience at Scotiabank managing over 70 accounts with revenues from $250,000 to $5 million CAD.

Kemi Omotade

Electrical engineering and energy management graduate and serial entrepreneur, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Serves on the executive committee of the Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians.

Layomi Ayeni

Government administration and compliance professional specialising in tax examination and validation. Holds a BA in Psychology from Carleton University. Experienced in event logistics, protocol and hospitality coordination.

Paska Grace Juma

Role to be confirmed

Strategist and entrepreneur with experience at Google across strategy, innovation and media. Consults with nonprofits and startups on scaling operations responsibly, and hosts the Life of a Servant podcast.

Toyin Aguda

Role to be confirmed

Technology leader with more than 12 years in artificial intelligence, data science and business transformation. Formerly Vice President and AI Research Lead at J.P. Morgan Chase, and currently President and COO of Aguda Capital LLC, with earlier roles at Caterpillar, Nielsen and Buari Consulting. Published internationally, most recently at the ACL 2025 conference. Holds an Executive MBA from Chicago Booth, master’s degrees in applied economics and in applied probability and statistics, and a first-class honours degree in economics.

Tola Haastrup

Communication, client services and organisational support professional, experienced in high-pressure environments requiring accuracy and discretion. Has taught and mentored teenagers.

Damilola Adelowo

Role to be confirmed

Fashion professional and educator specialising in patternmaking and 3D garment design. Teaches bridal and eveningwear fashion at college level and works as a 3D designer in outerwear product development, using digital twins and 3D workflows to reduce material waste and physical sampling.

Olumide Oyebode

Role to be confirmed

Doctoral candidate in muscle biology at the University of Toledo researching Duchenne muscular dystrophy, with peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations including a Top 5 Graduate Student Award at the Ohio Physiological Society annual meeting. Also lead designer at Lumine Designs, working in brand identity.

Financial analyst in banking within a Project Management Office, supporting project delivery across portfolios. A Brock University graduate in business economics with experience in financial analysis, planning, market research and operations, using Excel, SQL, Power BI and Tableau.

Tokunbo Elizabeth Oyebolu

Project manager and event planner, experienced in leading projects and collaborating with international teams, with a focus on strategy, coordination and delivery.

Ben Haastrup

IT leader certified in IT security, networking and cloud technologies, specialising in IT strategy, service delivery and digital transformation across higher education, enterprise systems and creative technology. Founder of Weavits Inc., a consulting practice spanning web applications, audiovisual engineering and IT solutions, and Technical Director at The Joy Centre.

Iyanuoluwa Ogunshola

Manager of technology and operations in the education sector, maintaining and developing systems, with several years of project management experience. Based in New Jersey.
