Get involved

Work together to respond to a local need

We work with schools, nonprofits, community groups, faith communities, health providers, local businesses and resident-led initiatives to plan and deliver community support that fits the place it happens in.

Examples

What a community partnership can look like

  • Host a youth or digital-skills activity
  • Identify and refer eligible participants
  • Coordinate Hope Kit distribution
  • Provide qualified wellness education
  • Share an accessible venue
  • Support volunteer recruitment and supervision
  • Connect participants to specialised services
  • Co-design a locally relevant outreach project

What we need

What we need from a community partner

A clear description of the need

What the need actually is, and who the intended participants are.

A responsible contact person

Someone with authority to make decisions and answer questions.

Honesty about existing services

What already exists locally and where the real gap is, so we do not duplicate somebody else’s work.

Safeguarding and privacy practices

Appropriate practices already in place, particularly where children or vulnerable adults are involved.

Capacity to take part

Ability to support planning, delivery or follow-up — not necessarily all three.

Agreement on communication

Agreement on records, logos, photographs and public communication, settled before delivery starts.

Boundaries

What we do not do

Being clear about our limits early saves everyone time. We will not:

  • Promise funding before it has been approved.
  • Deliver clinical, legal or specialised services without qualified professionals.
  • Distribute inappropriate or unrequested goods.
  • Use a community’s hardship for promotion.
  • Present a one-time activity as a permanent program.
  • Require general program participants to take part in worship or prayer.

Tell us about a need in your community

You know your community better than we do. Describe the need and who it affects, and we will say whether we are the right organization to help — and if we are not, who might be.
