Countable activity. Kits distributed, laptops provided, sessions held, volunteers engaged, hours contributed, locations served. Outputs are the easier number and the weaker claim.
Impact
Practical support, stronger communities, lasting change
We measure impact by looking at what was delivered, who took part, what changed, what we learned, and what needs to improve. This page explains how we report; the year pages carry the figures.
2026 · Organization-wide · In progress
Current reporting year
The 2026 reporting year is in progress. Current-year figures stay provisional until program and financial records are reconciled and approved, so we do not publish them as results yet.
One 2026 figure has been reported and is being checked against the final program report: 450 student health screenings through the Thrive Lagos Youth and Wellness Outreach.
The last complete, reported year is 2025. If you need figures for a grant application or due diligence, use the 2025 page and the entity reports rather than provisional 2026 numbers.
Method
Outputs and outcomes are not the same thing
Outcomes: what changed
Changes in access, knowledge, confidence, connection, skill, behaviour or opportunity. Outcomes take follow-up to establish, which is why we publish fewer of them and date them carefully.
The outcome measures we are building towards
These are the measures we intend to report against, not results we are claiming today:
- Share of laptop recipients using the device for school or skill development six months on.
- Share of wellness participants reporting improved knowledge of health practices.
- Share of Renewal Gathering participants reporting stronger connection or confidence.
- Number of participants connected to a further resource or referral.
- Partner assessment of how useful, timely and well-coordinated the work was.
Counting rules
How we count people, volunteers and partners
Volunteers support preparation, delivery, administration, communications, participant service, logistics, professional expertise and follow-up. Volunteer totals count unique people and verified hours — not social-media followers, and not informal expressions of interest.
Bringing Our Worship attendance, volunteers and event information are reported separately from community-service results, so that worship attendance is never presented as charitable service delivery.
Our two legal entities each publish their own report. Some activity counts appear in both because they describe organization-wide work. Those counts describe the same activity and must not be added together. A single reconciled organization-wide dataset is in preparation.
Reach
Where the work happens
Activity has been reported in Canada, the United States and Nigeria. Each location is labelled recurring, completed, partner-supported or planned, so a finished one-off event is never presented as an ongoing program.
Goals are not results
We keep planned work separate from completed work. Priorities for the coming period are published as priorities, with a target, a baseline, a responsible lead and a measurement method — never as achievements.
